BIO:

After a rewarding time performing high-level functions at the American Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon, Roula immigrated to the US to lend her talents to one of the world’s leading teaching and research institutions, Stanford University. She worked there for 18 years for various departments within Stanford, the Biodesign Program, Materials Science and Engineering and the Neurosciences Institute.

Roula is a results-driven business strategist with extensive mid- and upper-level Administrative Management experience. A track record of designing, developing, implementing, and reorganizing processes to improve efficiency. Positive attitude, creative thinking, intuitive business acumen, and analytical mindset used to ensure project success. No matter which project or program Roula oversaw, her goal was always to develop, implement, and reorganize processes to maximize productivity.

EXPERIENCE:

Roula’s experience includes program management and full administrative support (calendar management, expense reporting, reimbursement requests, event planning etc.) Her previous roles include the Program Manager for the Department of WU TSAI Neurosciences Institute, the Program Manager for the Byers Center for Biodesign, and an Administrative Associate for a Department of Pediatrics.

HOW I COMMUNICATE:

I tend to ask a lot of questions before starting on a project or task to make sure I have clarity on what needs to be done/accomplished. I prefer verbal communications and team work.

HOW I PREFER TO RECEIVE FEEDBACK:

I prefer to receive feedback verbally as well. I value sincerity and forthrightness when someone is giving me feedback. Positive and constructive feedback is always welcome.

WORKING STYLE:

At the beginning of a project I do appreciate details and enjoy researching answers as well. I tend to ask questions in the beginning of a project. I appreciate team work and if needed I can lead a project and moving the work along.
