BIO:

Though my exposure as an Assistant has only been in Higher Education, the experience I have gained can be spread across many industries. While overseeing multiple calendars, travel reports, credit card reconciliations and budget systems, I have become skillful in how to multi-task and manage the flow of daily office tasks. It’s a joy to help my Executive, and others in the office, have the tools to succeed in their roles at the highest of levels.

I am happily married and have three wonderful kids. If we aren’t watching our favorite sports teams, you can find us out outside being active. I am a marathon runner and hope to one day run the Boston Marathon!

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

I have been an Administrative/Executive Assistant for 12 years, supporting administrators in the Higher Education field.

HOW I COMMUNICATE:

When communicating, I prefer for it to be done electronically via email; this allows me to reference back if need be. I may ask a lot of questions up front to ensure I'm progressing on a task the appropriate way.

HOW I PREFER TO RECEIVE FEEDBACK:

When feedback, whether positive or negative, I prefer to have it written via email. I prefer straightforwardness and if the Executive wants something done in a particular way, I would like those directions upfront.

WORKING STYLE:

When working on any type of task, I like to have all details (as much as can be given) upfront and preferably in email. If I have any questions, I try to work through as much as I can before communicating, in case there are additional questions and it also gives me to time to hopefully figure out the answer. Once comfortable and a working relationship has been defined, I am comfortable taking the lead and moving the work forward. I very much dislike projects being stagnant so anything I can do to keep it moving, I’ll happily do.
