BIO:

I have been writing professionally for approximately 11 years. I consider myself a storyteller and thrive on creativity and pushing narrative boundaries. That being said, I also understand the importance of guidelines, deadlines, style guides and teamwork, especially when working remotely. I am deeply passionate about writing, and I try to incorporate that passion into every project I work on, whether it’s rewriting a coin catalog or declaration writing for an immigration law firm.

My work as a writer has opened many doors for me to take on other projects and learn new things, allowing me to continuously grow my skillset and challenge myself. I’ve even had the opportunity to get behind the camera and make a few short films and music videos.

I cannot wait to see where my writing will take me next!

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

While I am new to the EA role, I am hardly new to the demands of the position. As previously mentioned, I have over ten years of experience as a writer/editor. I have also worked as an interviewer of medical professionals, tackled data entry for a TV/film database, edited late-night talk show pieces, worked as a project coordinator on a descriptor project, managed an international writing project, and worked as a copywriter for nearly six years, writing highly researched and detailed product descriptions.

HOW I COMMUNICATE:

I prefer having the opportunity to process information and then discuss. While I do not mind receiving instructions verbally, I like to have them available to me in an email, etc. so I can go back to them if necessary. I tend to ask a lot of questions to ensure I know exactly what is expected of me. The more important the project, the more I want to know and be 100% clear on everything.

HOW I PREFER TO RECEIVE FEEDBACK:

I am accustomed to receiving written feedback and sometimes a follow-up via video chat. I do appreciate having time to process the feedback so I can implement it accordingly.

WORKING STYLE:

When working on a new project, I like to have all the details upfront. I want to know as much as I can about what needs to be done and what is expected of me. I find this is also a great way for me to overdeliver. I am very comfortable asking questions and do my best to only ask important ones. More often than not, I’d say I identify with the Pioneer work style, but I do enjoy taking the lead and moving work forward when I am given the chance to do so. For me, it just depends on the project and how I can best see it from inception to completion.
