A 33V Case Study

1. THE NEED

Malka Borrego, Founder of Equitas Academy, had worked with three full-time, in-house Executive Assistants over an eight year period prior to signing on with 33Vincent. Malka noted that she took a good amount of time out of her own workday to conduct hands-on training for her former assistants.

Between Summer 2018 and signing on with 33Vincent in January 2019, Malka was without an assistant. She found it hard to find someone who was “just right” and would truly protect her time.

2. THE MATCH

Malka was matched with her EA, Nadine, who joined 33V as she was looking for flexible work. 33V recruits high-caliber, experienced EAs like Nadine looking for flexible work and competitive pay.

Our five-step vetting process includes a detailed work simulation where the EA completes projects modeled after actual client work. Once through this initial period, new 33Vincent contracted EAs often assist with overflow client projects prior to being matched with their first client.

3. THE RESULTS

Before kicking off, 33Vincent collected all necessary information—personal data, travel preferences, logins, etc—from Malka prior to her kickoff with Nadine so they could focus on what matters from day one: setting the tone for their relationship.

At just 30 days in...

Nadine was already catching dropped items for Malka and helping Malka prioritize her time, both professionally and personally. Nadine had made specific progress in tackling projects (consolidating four key documents into one doc in an effort to streamline what the chief team needed to refer to at their weekly and monthly meetings) and handling emails that had fallen through the cracks.

At 60 days...
Nadine had cleaned up Malka’s 1,000 emails, sorted, archived and implemented a filing system she designed.

At 90 days...
Nadine was tasked with planning the Board Retreat at the Langham in Pasadena, CA. Malka said it was “the best one they’ve ever had,” noting that Nadine just knew the best resorts to book, places to go for dinner, and that Board members commented even after the retreat on how wonderful it was.

By 6 months...
Malka has achieved more flexibility in her schedule, both professionally and personally; she is able to end her day at 4pm regularly, giving her that much more time with family. Additionally, Nadine’s skills as a gatekeeper have allowed Malka to schedule more donor meetings, directly adding to her bottom line.

Equitas had increased their monthly block to 60 hours and Malka referred to Nadine as the strongest EA she’s ever worked with.
